SYLVIA MCGOURLICK
Sylvia was introduced to pottery while living in Haida Gwaii in the mid 1980's. After moving to Vancouver Island, Sylvia enrolled in North Island college's ceramics program to advance her craft. Working from her home studio in Campbell River, she produces a wide range of cone 6 electric and cone 10 gas fired pieces.

She focuses on functional pottery designed for daily use. Her gas fired glazes are earthy with blue ash, browns, white and silver greys that create a unique overlapping palette. After taking drawing classes at North Island College she added a line of nature inspired mugs to her line.
