ABOUT

The Potters Place Gallery, in the beautiful Comox Valley is a ceramics gallery run by a non-profit society of local island potters.

The Gallery has been in operation since May 1992.  We have the largest selection of clay work on Vancouver Island and are one of the largest ceramics galleries in B.C..

The work can be functional or sculptural, hand built or wheel thrown, high fire or low fire, wood fire, raku, salt/soda and it's all here.

As a not for profit we have a mandate to expose people to pottery through sales and education.  One of our charitable contributions is to YANA, a local charity which supports expecting women, children and their families in need of support for medical travel and accommodation.  To do this we have a yearly Chilli Bowl Sale during Market Days in Courtenay, B.C..

We have also created the Robin Hopper Bursary for Ceramic Arts, and support two yearly Bursaries at North Island College.
