Inspired by the natural beauty of the Comox Valley, I make pottery that is meant to be both beautiful and beautifully useful.
I’ve always been fascinated by the engineering and architecture of a pot—the way shape, proportion, balance and function come together. In another life, I might have studied architecture; in this one, I get to explore those ideas in clay. Because I love to cook, eat and drink really good coffee, many of my favourite pieces are made for everyday life in the kitchen. I especially enjoy thinking about the little details that make a mug, bowl or serving piece not just lovely to look at, but a pleasure to use.
