FEATURE ARTIST (S)

Maggie Shaw is from Comox, BC and has been making pottery for the past 40 years, first in low fired ceramics. When she moved to Comox she attended the Ceramic Arts
Programme at North Island College to expand her craft. Having lived near the sea most of her life she has a great respect for the sea as well as a love for nature, which shows in her work. The nature series is drawn and hand painted, in silhouette, on the pots. She is 
pleased to show this series, as well as other functional pieces, at The Potters Place Gallery and provide ceramic art to those obtaining a piece of local art from Vancouver Island.
