Joe Stefiuk – A Whale of a Time.
A Whale of a Time by Joe Stefiuk
Joe has been hard at work in the studio making these awesome whale tails.
They are representative of our west coast whales. Orca and humpback whales are often seen in these waters off the east coast of Vancouver Island.
Joe has captured their beauty perfectly in these sculptures which can be free standing, or hung on a wall.
About Our Gallery
The Potters Place Gallery is a one of kind find herein on Vancouver Island. We are the largest all clay/ceramics gallery here on the west coast of Canada.
We don’t mean to be boastful, but we have been called by many, the pottery mecca of British Columbia. We have over 20 potters and ceramists under one roof, with both functional and sculptural pottery to choose from.
We are a not for profit society and as such, we have our hand in the community, participating in fundraising events for local charities, and support for education for future generations of potters. We are able to do this, through a bursary that we grant to a qualified applicant each year through our
Robin Hopper Bursary.
Featured Potters
We invite you to come by the gallery at least once a month to see the new feature artist.
The gallery is always changing as new artwork is delivered to the gallery ongoingly. Our potters are working away in their studios and then bring their new pieces of art in, so there is a constant visual story that shifts, and grows and changes all the time.
We’d love to see you and your friends or visitors at the gallery any time. Come on by, ask us a questions, inquire about pottery lessons in the Comox Valley.
We’d love to see you
