We like to think we have some of the best potters on Vancouver Island right here in the Comox Valley.
Come by and see over 20 potters all under one roof.
It is well known that The Comox Valley is the POTTERY MECCA of Vancouver Island.
The Potters here get to enjoy inspiring scenery, living amongst such natural beauty. It is no wonder we enjoy such a wealth of great studio artist here in the Comox Valley. Some of the best artists /potters on Vancouver Island live right here in our beautiful valley surrounded by the ocean, streams and rivers, mountains and the rain forest.
Some potters work on the potters wheel, while other members choose to use hand-building techniques to fashion their works in clay. Our potters fire their kilns with electricity, propane, gas, and/or wood.

The Potters Place is a not for profit society and is delighted to be able to help share these wonderful works with visitors and Islanders alike. Each potter who has work on display at The Potters Place Gallery works independent of each other. Each has their own pottery studio and each has their own methods of making their work.

About Our Team
We have the most amazing arts community right here in the Comox Valley.
Potters are really an extraordinary group of people. We take earth, and water and in some cases speed (for instance when we use a potters wheel) and patience (for instance, when we handbuild or wait for pots to dry between processes) and make something beautiful or thought-filled or functional, or meaningful out of what was just clay, deep in the earth.
The Potters Place Gallery is a not for profit society and is made of 2 components: members and consignment artist.
The members run the gallery, stock the shelves, work in the gallery, do the marketing, the buying, the cleaning, the accounting, ya know, all things that make a business work day in and day out.
Then we have consignment artists. These are local valley artists who show in our gallery but llike any gallery, they leave their work with us and we (the members) do the rest.
If you come into the gallery or book a personal “by appointment only” visit or virtual chat gallery visit, it will be one of the members you will be seeing.
We are grateful that you are joining us in the amazing journey called ceramics
Thank you from all of us at The Potters Place Gallery
