The Potters Place Gallery in Courtenay, BC is pleased to announce their Call For Entry “Off The Wall” featuring functional and sculptural drinking vessels.
The Potters Place Gallery is operated by a collective of potters dedicated to promoting public awareness and appreciation of the ceramic arts, supporting ceramic artists by giving them an opportunity to exhibit and sell their work, awarding bursaries and helping potters in need.
The exhibition is open to all residents of British Columbia, 18 years of age or older. We hope this exhibition will encourage potters to exhibit their work and help market the artistic creations of potters to the public in BC and across Canada.
Entries must not weigh more than 2 pounds and must have been created no earlier than January 2018. Work submitted must be original and the primary material consist of clay. All work must be available for sale and delivered to the Potters Place on or before September 28th, 2018. The committee has the right to refuse entries if work is not up to the expected standard. Up to three (3) pieces per artist may be submitted.
Delivery and pick up of work is the responsibility of the participants. It may be possible to arrange group transportation.
We regret that we cannot provide insurance coverage for breakage. We will make every effort to prevent breakage from occurring.
Exhibition Dates: October 1-27, 2018
Completed Call For Entry Form must be received by: September 24, 2018.
Physical Delivery of work must be received by: September 29th, 2016.
Delivery Date: Exhibition pieces must be delivered to The Potters Place Gallery by September 28, 2018. All work must have price stickers as well as artist’s name.
Entry Fee: $5 per entry or $10 for three. Entry fees must accompany entry forms. Please make cheque or money order payable to the Potters Place Gallery.
A commission of 20% commission will be deducted from the sale of work.
Reproduction of Images: Permission is granted to The Potters Place Gallery for reproduction of artwork online and for promotional materials. Your entry into the exhibition constitutes agreement with this understanding.
Artwork Shipping and Delivery: All shipping cost both to and from the Gallery are to be paid for by the artist. Shipped works must be received by September 28, 2018. Hand delivered work will be accepted between 10a.m. and 4 p.m. September 24th -29th. (Monday – Saturday only – work will not be accepted by hand delivery on Sundays)
Work should be securely and appropriately wrapped or packed for shipping. The Potters Place Gallery is not responsible for Artworks that arrive damaged.

Scan or take a photo of the completed form and email it back to us at the email address provided on the form. You may also send the completed form to The Potters Place Gallery (address provided on entry form) by snail mail, or drop off. Please also include a copy of your form with signature and date with your delivered pottery submissions.
