Gloria Simpson

I am a first nations woman (Tahltan), who grew up in the Yukon and have been potting since 1968. I produce functional work glazed with local clays, granites and woodash. My style is influenced by native aesthetics and an admiration for the Japanese tradition of craft.

I am lucky to live in such a fabulous part of the world. With natural beauty all around and the ocean at my back door, inspiration comes easily to my work which has ranged from a fixation with alligators to my current interest in botanical textures and impressions.
