Betty Franklyn

Betty's designs come from the complex wood ash glazes she uses. She also fires her interesting functional ware in the high fire reduction kiln. Betty's work often reflects nature and the sea, which is a strong influence in her life and work.

Laura Gosnell

Having a formal background in environmental studies influences the lens that my work is filtered through. I find great inspiration in the natural world around us, and the west coast is reflected in the form, colour, and surface texture of my work. There is satisfaction in making practical items, but it is that piece that become someone's favourite treasure because of the way it feels in your hand or the way it reflects light that keeps me creating!

Kaye Hansen

I’ve lived on a farm in the Comox Valley since 1968.  Just one night school class in the early 70’s started my obsession with clay and I’ve been enjoying it ever since. My first love is functional pottery but also love the excitement of raku.
